Sassy
Now it's time to meet Sassy and she is one gorgeous looking dog! I got to spend quite a bit of time with her and she has such a good dispositon, that I know she will make a great pet for someone who is out there looking for that one special friend. Alittle on the shy side, I had been told that she didn't really seem to want to socialize much with others, so I decided to take her under my wing for awhile. I am going to try and go back to the shelter tomorrow and spend more time with her if she is still there. She seemed weary of going outside at first, so we took it easy the first time. I went out back with her and just sat down in the yard not too far from the door and she just sat right up next to me and kept trying to duck her head up under my arm. I petted her and hugged and kissed on her and finally her tail started wagging some. With some of the dogs and older pups, you have to get them to see that they can trust you and that you genuinely care about them and then they tend to loosen up a bit. This is one awesome dog and I really wanted to take her home with me so I could work more with her, but those duties will come later down the line as I haven't been at the shelter very long. This is one beauty I will for sure miss when she is gone. She will find a good loving home in no time, I am sure of that.
